Answers to some of the most common questions we get asked about Channitor.

Private Channels

Channitor does not currently support private channels. It is something we have on the backlog of potential features, but do not have a set date for when that may be added.

If/when we add it, there is a Slack API limitation that Channitor would only be able to manage channels that it has been added to.

Automatic Archiving

Channitor does not automatically archive any channels. This is based on feedback from a large number of customers who found it concerning to have channels be archived without human intervention. In the future, we may add a setting to allow power users to enable automation, but no specific timeline is in place.

Why don't I see Channitor asking to archive my inactive channels?

In the App Home, double check if the Silent setting is active. That setting controls if Channitor sends nudges to each inactive channel.

How can I see all my inactive channels?

If you check in the App Home, you can see a list of all the inactive channels for your workspace.
