Field Types & Restrictions¶
The following fields are created by default with every new Stream:¶

The following field types are available in the field library:¶
Field types
Plain text
- Appears as a text box
- Can be made single or multiline
Datepicker
- Appears as a calendar-style field for choosing dates
- Only one date may be chosen at a time
Static select
- Appears as a drop down menu with pre-set options
- Options filter as the requester types
- Only one option may be chosen at a time
- Options are specified as a comma delimited list (no spaces after commas are required)
Multi static select
- Appears as a drop down menu with pre-set options
- Options filter as the requester types
- Multiple options may be chosen at the same time
- Options are specified as a comma delimited list (no spaces after commas are required)
Users select
- Appears as a drop down menu with all users in the workspace as options
- Users filter as the requester types
- Only one user may be chosen at a time
Multi users select
- Appears as a drop down menu with all users in the workspace as options
- Users filter as the requester types
- Multiple users may be chosen at the same time
Channels select
- Appears as a drop down menu with all public channels in the workspace as options
- Channels filter as the requester types
- Only one channel may be chosen at a time
Multi Channels select
- Appears as a drop down menu with all public channels in the workspace as options
- Channels filter as the requester types
- Multiple channels may be chosen at the same time
User-created fields are subject to the following naming restrictions:¶
⚠️ - A new field cannot be given the same name as an existing field.
- The following field names are reserved:
Subject
Assignee
Due date
Requester
- The following suffixes cannot be used at the end of field names: -
